Dr Demartini, I'd love to know your opinion on severe psychopathology. Please write a book or share posts on your insights around relational trauma, attachment and mental illness and what people can do to overcome the long-term damaging effects of abuse. I'm very interested to know how you would motivate someone who is suffering from "clinical" depression by balancing their distorted perceptions without minimising their pain and confusion. Perhaps they would have the "unrealistic expectation" that their parents should be supportive and caring. How would parents having EQ be a drawback? It would surely have lead to improved self-esteem, stable relationships and less trauma. This is where I get confused.
